Home Minister, the youth wants concrete results

After the Prime Minister, its the turn of the Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde to talk nonsense. A horrendous crime happens in the city and the administration is taking it callously. Police & Home Mnistry indulges itself in self praise. The youth marched to Rashtrapati Bhavan hoping that there will be some reaction from the administration. Nothing happened. Till date not one minister from the government thought it fit to meet the protesting students and give an assurance that the perpetrators of the crime will be given the harshest punishment. Had the Home Minister taken the courage to meet the protesters, things would have been very peaceful today.

Why is the youth angry and protesting on the streets braving the harsh weather, the water cannon and the lathi charge of the police? Is there anyone out there in the government or administration who is a human being to understand for what these kids are on the street protesting? This insensitive attitude must stop. Right Now. Now Nobody trusts this government which has made a mess of everything in the life of the people of the country.

Pathetic talk by the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh spoke atlast on the Delhi rape and asked the youth protesting on the streets to stay calm. Why it took the PM to wait for over a week to speak on such an issue which affects the life of every women in the Capital of India? The speech lacks any kind of concern for the issue. Asking the youth not indulge in violence when it was the police and administration that has unleashed in violence on the hapless protesters.

Yesterday the water cannons were directed at media personnel so that the coverage of the protest can be blocked to an extend. Everything points to one thing - the government is trying everything to silence the people's voice.

My appeal to all protesters in Delhi - Dont give up, till the government comes out with concrete steps to make sure that every citizen feels safe on the streets of Delhi, Every woman can walk fearlessly at any time of the day and No criminal gets away under some vague section of the law.
